Le nouvel album de Franz Ferdinand intitulé "The Human Fear" est sorti le 10 janvier chez Domino Records. Trois extrait, "Audacious", Night or Day" et "Hooked" sont à découvrir. Le dernier disque du groupe, "Always Ascending", est paru en 2018.
